De startede i 2000 da de indså, at en stor, solid flight case af metal til LP'er godt nok beskyttede pladerne godt, men den var simpelthen for tung for DJ's at slæbe hele verden rundt. De udviklede derfor deres UDG SoftBag koncept, som etablerede dem solidt blandt nogle af verdens førende DJ's. Lige fra Carl Cox, Fatboy Slim, Tiësto og Erick Morillo kan således i dag ses bære rundt på UDG Gear, når de er ude at spille. UDG's originale SoftBag produktlinie er i dag udvidet til at inkludere hardcases, sleeves og trolleys, alle designet til nemt at slæbe DJ gear hele verden rundt, mens det beskytter grejet på den bedste facon.
